I'm looking for anime with genuinely strong and well-developed female protagonists. I appreciate characters with agency, depth, and not just relegated to supporting roles. Could be physically strong, mentally strong, or both! Recommendations across any genre would be awesome!

Claymore features a world of female warriors who fight demons. Clare is the main character, and her strength and determination are truly inspiring, alongside a fantastic cast of other strong women.
Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit stars Balsa, a spear-wielding bodyguard. She's incredibly capable, honorable, and an excellent mentor. A truly iconic female lead!
