I've always wanted to go to a big anime convention, but haven't had the chance yet! For those who've been, what's the experience like? Any cool stories, awesome cosplay, or tips for a first-timer?

Yes! It's incredibly overwhelming but in the best way. So much energy, amazing cosplay, and unique vendors. Definitely wear comfy shoes!
Went to Comic-Con once and the anime section was huge! Saw some incredible Gundam cosplays. Pro-tip: plan out what panels you want to see beforehand.
The artist alley is my favorite part! So many talented creators selling prints and stickers. Always find unique stuff there.
The atmosphere is just electric! Everyone is there to celebrate their shared passion. Made some great friends at one convention just by complimenting their cosplay.
The lines can be insane, but it's worth it for the experience. Got to meet a voice actor once, which was super cool! Don't forget to hydrate!
