Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World is brilliant because Subaru is NOT overpowered. He's constantly suffering and has to rely on wits and allies. Very unique loop!
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar) is a much more realistic and gritty take on being stuck in a fantasy world. The characters are weak and struggle constantly.
Ascendance of a Bookworm is perfect! Myne just wants to read books in a medieval world where they barely exist. Her struggle is intellectual, not physical power. So wholesome! 📚
Drifters is an interesting one. Historical figures are summoned to another world to fight. They're strong, but the focus is more on strategy and historical clashes than raw power fantasy.
Restaurant to Another World is an episodic, food-focused isekai where the other world characters visit a restaurant. Super chill and unique premise.
