Puella Magi Madoka Magica (12 episodes) is a masterclass in psychological deconstruction of the magical girl genre. Dark, brilliant, and impactful.
Devilman Crybaby (10 episodes) is incredibly intense, visually striking, and has a story that will absolutely haunt you. Not for the faint of heart, but powerful.
Violet Evergarden (13 episodes + movie) is stunningly beautiful with incredible animation and deeply emotional storytelling. Each episode is a gem.
Terror in Resonance (11 episodes) is a great psychological thriller with a unique premise and a strong sense of tension throughout. Highly underrated!
