Need more anime like 'Mushishi' - episodic, supernatural, quiet beauty!

I absolutely adored Mushishi for its quiet, episodic nature, the beautiful animation, and the way it explores supernatural phenomena without relying on big action sequences. I'm looking for more anime with a similar vibe – perhaps meditative, supernatural, or just beautifully told episodic stories. Any ideas?

'Natsume's Book of Friends' is probably the closest you'll get! It's also episodic, focuses on a boy who can see yokai, and has that same gentle, melancholic, and beautiful atmosphere. So good! ✨

'Kino's Journey' (the original 2003 one or the 2017 remake) is another episodic gem. Kino travels to different countries, each with unique customs and philosophies. Very thought-provoking.

Neon Wizard

'Aria the Animation' (or any of the Aria series) is a pure comfort watch. It's slice-of-life set on a terraformed Mars, focusing on gondoliers. Incredibly calming, beautiful, and reflective.

'Noragami' has a more action focus, but it also delves deeply into the world of gods and spirits, with some very touching and profound episodic stories intertwined with a larger plot. Worth checking out!

Maybe 'Somali and the Forest Spirit'? It's not strictly episodic, but it has that quiet, wandering feel of a journey through a fantastical world with unique creatures. Very heartfelt.
