Hey everyone! I've watched so many Isekai where the main character is instantly overpowered. I'm craving something different, maybe where the MC struggles more or has a really unique ability that isn't just pure strength. Any hidden gems out there with a fresh take on the genre?
Have you tried Re:Zero? Subaru definitely struggles, and it's a much darker take on Isekai. It's fantastic! 🤯
Mushoku Tensei is good for character development, even if he does get strong. Or maybe Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash for a more realistic, struggle-filled approach?
Konosuba is a parody, and the MC is definitely NOT OP. It's hilarious and refreshing! 😂
For a different take, check out Saga of Tanya the Evil! The MC is powerful, but in a very strategic and often desperate way. Plus, it's pretty dark.
Ascendance of a Bookworm is awesome! The MC just wants to read books in a medieval world where they're rare. Very unique and heartwarming.
