Frieren: Beyond Journey's End was absolutely incredible! I loved the slow pacing, the amazing characters, and the journey itself. Can anyone recommend other fantasy or adventure anime that have that same kind of depth, great world-building, and focus on character development?
You might enjoy 'Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation'! It has incredibly detailed world-building, a true sense of adventure, and deep character growth over a long period. Just be aware of the protagonist's early flaws.
'Spice and Wolf' is a fantastic choice if you loved Frieren's slower pace and character focus. It's a unique economic fantasy with amazing dialogue and a strong central relationship. 🐺🍎
If you're okay with something a bit older, 'Seirei no Moribito' (Guardian of the Spirit) is a masterpiece of fantasy. Excellent world-building, strong female protagonist, and a truly epic adventure without relying on typical power systems.
'Made in Abyss' has some of the most unique and terrifying world-building I've ever seen. The sense of adventure and discovery is unparalleled, but be warned, it gets very dark. The art is deceiving! 😱
Consider 'To Your Eternity'! It's a poignant journey following an immortal being as it learns about humanity. Similar to Frieren, it explores themes of life, death, and connection over vast periods. So many feels! 😭
