Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash is surprisingly good! It focuses on a group of weak adventurers trying to survive in a harsh fantasy world. It's more grounded and realistic than most Isekai. Very atmospheric. 🌧️
Have you seen 'Ranking of Kings'? The art style might throw some people off, but it's an incredibly moving and epic fantasy story about a deaf prince. It's truly a gem with a lot of heart.
'Made in Abyss' is absolutely stunning, though it gets very dark. The world-building is incredible, and the sense of adventure is palpable. Just be warned, it's not for the faint of heart by the end!
'Princess Mononoke' if you haven't seen it, but if you want a series, 'Twelve Kingdoms' is an amazing, complex fantasy epic based on Chinese mythology. It's a bit older but holds up so well.
For something with unique magic, 'To Your Eternity' explores themes of immortality and connection in a fantastical setting. It's beautiful and often heartbreaking. Definitely a different kind of fantasy!
