Odd Taxi is a brilliant mystery/drama with a unique art style and amazing storytelling. Seriously a masterpiece, flew under the radar!
Shinsekai Yori (From the New World) is a dark fantasy/sci-fi that's incredibly deep and thought-provoking. Takes a bit to get going but worth it.
Land of the Lustrous (Houseki no Kuni) is stunningly animated CGI, great world, and deep themes. Give it a shot, don't let the CGI scare you!
Baccano! is a non-linear story with a huge cast of colorful characters, set in the Prohibition era. So much fun and very unique narrative style.
Princess Tutu! Sounds cutesy but it's a dark fairytale, incredibly clever, and emotionally powerful. A true gem! ✨
Kyousougiga (Beautiful Bones) is visually stunning and has a really unique, chaotic charm. A hidden gem for sure, incredible animation.
