I've watched a bunch of isekai but I'm getting a little tired of the generic 'overpowered hero in a fantasy world' trope. Are there any isekai out there with unique premises, interesting takes, or even non-fantasy settings?

Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World is an amazing one if you haven't seen it! The protagonist is NOT OP and constantly suffers, making every victory earned. It's dark and thrilling. 😈
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has a more grounded approach to isekai, focusing heavily on character development and world-building rather than just power levels. It's truly epic.
Saga of Tanya the Evil! A salaryman reincarnated as a little girl in a magical WWI-esque world. Unique premise, great action, and a very cynical protagonist.
Ascendance of a Bookworm is fantastic! A book-lover reincarnated into a medieval world where books are rare. It's about her trying to make books and improve technology. Super charming and unique.
Drifters is pretty cool! Historical figures from different eras get summoned to a fantasy world to fight. It's action-packed and has a great concept.
